Lejog Day 8, other side of Taunton to Bristol. 76 miles!

Wow. So until a few days ago my longest ever cycle in a day was 25 miles. Today we did 76! Early start. Slept in some woods so tents were not too damp. Cycled 8 or so miles to taunton for breakfast. Taunton has great cycle paths. Cycled miles along canal and river paths. I’m getting braver at cycling rather than pushing bike under bridges. Somerset very flat. Should have been super easy but had headwind the whole way. Strawberry trail along old railway lines and through apple orchards. Saw massive solar farm. Dead badger :'( First greasy spoon / fried breakfast of the trip for lunch in Bridgwater – really good. Mebdip hills pretty. Nightmare following cycle routes into Bristol. Took forever. Staying with friends in Bristol tonight. Happy I managed 76 miles but aching all over. Might have rest day tomorrow.

Forgot to take pictures before started to take tent down.

Solar system to scale along the canal! V cool.

Metal origami along the cycle path
